Job Title: EEG Technologist Profession: EEG Technologist Specialty: EEG (Electroencephalogram) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day and Night shifts Hours per Shift: 8, 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in the field of neurodiagnostics License: EEG Registered Certifications: BLS, Registered EEG Technologist (R.EEGT.) via ABRET Must-Have: Ability to perform EEG on both Pediatrics and Adults in ICU. Description: Conduct electroencephalography (EEG) for patients from birth to geriatrics. Follow pre-established patient safety guidelines. Submit reports to physicians summarizing test results. Monitor stock levels of medical equipment and restock or reorder as needed. Calibrate, troubleshoot, or repair equipment and correct malfunctions as needed. Document defective equipment and report it to an appropriate supervisor. Detect and summarize patterns in data and findings by producing simple reports. Follow proper data gathering and analysis processes and policies. Utilize Epic and Natus Xltek equipment in the unit or department. Perform inpatient bedside routine EEG and bedside long-term hookups. Conduct outpatient routine EEG tests. Use the standard 10-20 system and cap application. Be available for call requirements. Two 8-hour day shifts and two 12-hour night shifts required.
