Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Certified EEG Technologist (EEG R) to join their team in Burlingame, California. This position involves providing inpatient and outpatient neurodiagnostic services, including electroencephalography (EEG) procedures in both ICU and emergency department settings. The role requires clinical expertise and efficient patient care within a busy healthcare environment.
Job Details
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., minimum of 40 hours per week, with on-call responsibilities from 8:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m. on weekdays and 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekends, as required.
Required Qualifications: Certification as a Registered EEG Technologist (R.EEGT); at least 3 years of clinical EEG experience; experience working with adult inpatient and outpatient populations; proficiency with electronic charting systems, preferably Epic; valid California State Licensure; compliance with American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; and at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience performing ambulatory EEG, sleep EEG studies, and assisting with EMG/Nerve Conduction Studies; familiarity with long-term video and seizure monitoring; strong skills in electrode placement and neurodiagnostic procedures; prior experience in ICU, ER, or trauma environments.
Additional Information: The role involves completing necessary clinical modules during orientation, with an understanding that hours spent on non-billable modules are considered non-billable but essential for compliance. Candidates should be prepared for a structured onboarding process and adhere to all compliance requirements, including work history verification and timely submission of documentation.
