Job Summary:
The Electrophysiology (EP) Technologist position is based in Charleston, South Carolina. This role involves assisting with all procedures performed in the electrophysiology lab, including implantations of pacemakers and defibrillators, and interpreting cardiac arrhythmias. The position requires competence in EP monitoring, intracardiac echo, and 3D mapping systems, as well as sterile techniques. It offers an opportunity to work primarily in the EP lab with potential duties in the cath lab, supporting physicians and ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: ARRT certification if Radiology Technician, or RN license in South Carolina or a recognized NCSBN Compact State. BLS certification (AHA) required. RCIS or RCES credential preferred.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of understanding of the interpretation of cardiac arrhythmias, patient parameters, and management of cardiac complications.
  • Experience in electrophysiology procedures, device implantation, and sterile technique.
  • Ability to assist with EP lab procedures such as ablations, LAAOs, and potentially float to the cath lab and TEE/CV procedures.
  • Experience in patient care, radiation exposure management, and working in healthcare environments with biohazard exposure.
  • Ability to perform frequent lifting, pushing, pulling over 50 lbs, and constant dexterity tasks.
