Job Requirements
- Active RN license
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience required
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-acuity emergency room environment
- Extensive experience with trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis
- Adult and pediatric ED experience preferred
- Required certifications: ENPC, TNCC, ACLS, PALS, BLS, and CPI with TIC
- NRP and STABLE are a plus
- Ability to adapt quickly, stay accountable, and contribute as a reliable team player
- Comfort with floating to free-standing ED locations if needed
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate, and efficient emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
- Assess, triage, and prioritize patients based on acuity and clinical need
- Respond to high-acuity cases including trauma, stroke, STEMI, and sepsis
- Support advanced emergency procedures such as thoracotomy assistance, arterial line care, and massive transfusion protocols (MTP)
- Work collaboratively with physicians, technicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and adapt to system updates as needed
- Follow unit guidelines, safety standards, and dress code expectations
- Float to designated free-standing Emergency Department locations when required
- Contribute to a positive, flexible, and patient-centered team culture
