Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Free Standing Emergency Department position requiring a TX or compact RN license and TNCC certification.

Details

• Work in an 11-bed Free Standing Emergency Department (FSED)
• AM and PM shift rotation with shift hours from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM
• Staffing includes 1 charge nurse and 1 RN per shift
• Equipment used includes ventilators and point-of-care lab machines
• EMR system used is Meditech
• Weekend rotation required
• No on-call requirements
• Common procedures include IV starts and 12-lead EKG/patient assessments

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
• CPI certification required for ER units
• NIH Stroke Certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Emergency Department nursing
• FSED experience preferred
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Deliver emergency nursing care including triage, assessment, and treatment
• Work collaboratively within a small, close-knit care team
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Local candidates will not be considered
• First-time travelers may be considered
