Description

American Traveler is hiring an ED RN for a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center float pool requiring 2 years of similar experience and ACLS/TNCC certification.

Details

• Float pool position primarily staffed in the Emergency Department to care for boarder patients (med/surg, stepdown, or ICU)
• May be asked to float to an acute unit if necessary
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Deferred scheduling type with 36 guaranteed hours weekly
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience in a similarly sized Level 1 trauma facility required
• Proven experience in high-pressure, large-scale trauma environments
• Experience managing critical, fast-paced situations in high-volume hospitals with diverse and severe cases
• Resume with no employment gaps required
• ED skills checklist and ED references required
• Candidates must submit demographics including a badge-appropriate photo

Additional Information

• Work in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center handling complex and challenging cases
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel rate
• Block scheduling is not typically approved for most units
