Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing care to patients in the Emergency Department by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. This role requires critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in ensuring the safe delivery of care to patients.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process to provide high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment in patient assessment and care planning.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and professional development.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel involved in delivering patient care.

Qualifications

• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• 1-2 years of recent experience in an Emergency Department setting.
• Experience with Cerner is preferred.
• Valid nursing license to practice in Alabama.
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.

Shift Information

This position is for night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.
