Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of recent ED experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Emergency Department setting
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
• Every other weekend required
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC
• 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Skilled in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line care/management
• Proficient in isolation precautions/PPE, triage, and medication administration
• Experience with IV vasopressors, cardiac monitoring, and management of dysrhythmias
• State-issued ID required prior to consideration

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care including triage, cardiac monitoring, and emergency response to dysrhythmias
• Navy blue scrubs required and not provided
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates within 90 miles are accepted
• RTO limited to 5 non-consecutive days, with only one holiday RTO request approved during the Nov-Jan holiday season
• All RTO must be approved by management prior to contract signing
