**Exciting Opportunity for a Travel RN in the Emergency Department!** **Job Description:** - **Unit Information:** - Number of Beds: 27 - Staff: Approx. 60 (staff increases with volume, decreases as needed) - Core Staffing: 4 RNs (or 3 RNs and a medic), 1 EMT, 1 EMT or secretary - Max Staffing: 7 RNs and 1 medic (or 6 RNs and 2 medics), 3 EMTs, 1 secretary - Patient Ratios: 4:1 with a charge nurse (typically no patient assignment) - EMR: Meditech (DOS platform) - **Skills Required:** - Minimum 1-year current ED hospital experience - Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC, and CPI Blue card - PALS accepted in lieu of ENPC - **Preferred Skills:** - CEN certification - Meditech experience - Experience in a high-volume ED - **Typical Procedures:** - Activities in a Level II trauma ED/certified chest pain center/thrombectomy capable stroke center - Psych/at-risk patient care with focus on safety monitoring - Procedural sedation using Propofol, Etomidate, and Ketamine - **Best Personality Fit:** - Proactive, engaged, and anticipatory of patient care steps - Strong communication skills with patients and families - Exceptional customer service focus - **Unit Characteristics:** - Busy ED with: - 30% admit rate - Less than 10% low acuity patients - 20% ESI 2 patient volume - 28% EMS rate - **Why Join Us?** - Innovative opioid reduction initiatives; decreased usage by 34% - Stable night shift team with strong leadership - Engaged ED leadership providing hands-on patient care and education **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
