Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years of emergency nursing experience
• ADN required
• Current ACLS, BLS, NIH, and PALS certifications
• De-escalation training required (HWC, CPI, or MAB)
• Strong experience in emergency care, trauma, resuscitation, IV therapy, IV drips, oxygen demand support, blood products, and basic telemetry/EKG
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity Emergency Department
• Team-oriented approach with excellent multitasking and communication skills
• Experience with Cerner preferred
• Psych ER experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan
• Assess, stabilize, and monitor patients with urgent and emergent conditions
• Support care for patients with COPD, DKA, sepsis, cardiac emergencies, neurological emergencies, and stroke
• Perform IV starts, manage IV drips, and administer blood products as indicated
• Assist with trauma care and resuscitation interventions
• Monitor telemetry and EKG rhythms in a busy emergency room setting
• Maintain clear communication with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Respond to changing patient needs with confidence, speed, and professionalism
• Float as needed within the department to support patient care delivery
