Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department position requiring Level 1 trauma center experience and 4 years of adult and pediatric ED experience.

Details

  • Work in the Emergency Care Center of a large, high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
  • Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
  • Guaranteed 36 hours per week
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
  • Block scheduling not typically approved

Requirements

  • Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required; TNCC and ENPC preferred
  • 4 years of well-rounded adult and pediatric ED experience required
  • Level 1 trauma center experience preferred
  • Proven success in high-pressure, large-scale trauma environments required
  • Experience managing critical, fast-paced situations in high-volume hospitals required
  • Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency care to a high-acuity patient population with complex and challenging cases
  • Conditional compliance may be allowed for credentialing proven to be in process
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel rate
