Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring at least 1 year of ED experience and TN or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Emergency Services unit with 16 beds
• Patient ratio of 4:1, variable based on acuity
• Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating required
• EMR system used is FirstNet (Cerner)
• Scrubs must be royal blue

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or compact)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• CPI certification required, may be obtained on-site after contract start
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience
• Critical care assessment and management skills
• IV and IO insertion skills
• Chest tube management experience
• Catheterization skills
• Comfort with critical care drip medications
• Cardiac monitoring competency

Additional Information

• Responsible for triage of emergency patients using strong critical thinking and assessment skills
• RTO requests must be submitted in advance and made up at the end of the contract
• RTO blackout dates include Labor Day
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Previous perm staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered for this travel position
