Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a Trauma Level III certified facility background and willingness to float.

Details

• Emergency Department setting in a 38-bed unit
• Trauma Level III certified, Stroke Receiving, and STEMI Receiving facility
• Day shift schedule, 3x12s from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Floating required
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active AZ or compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• NIHSS certification recommended but not required
• No certifications may expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care to Emergency Department patients using critical thinking and leadership skills
• Delegate patient care priorities and supervise assigned personnel as needed
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education
• Black scrubs required
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius will be considered
• RTO requests must be less than one week
• Not eligible if previously employed as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
