Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring 2 years of ED experience and a NC or compact RN license.

Details

Works in a 26-bed Emergency Department at a Joint Commission accredited facility
Treats an all-ages patient population with common diagnoses including respiratory distress, overdose, CHF, dialysis, and HTN
Patient ratios of 1:4-5, flexible depending on acuity
Uses GE monitors and standard ED equipment
Utilizes Meditech EHR system, experience preferred
Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Every other weekend required
No call requirements
Floating required to like assignments

Requirements

Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
Associate's Degree in Nursing required
Team player with an engaged, positive attitude

Additional Information

Provide emergency department nursing care across a variety of acute and chronic conditions
Facility offers services in cancer care, cardiac care, orthopedics, imaging, and surgical services
Scrub color is flexible with no specific color requirement
Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
