Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ED RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring a CO or compact RN license and 1+ years of recent acute care ED experience.

Details

  • Work in a freestanding emergency department (FSED) with 11 beds
  • Staffing includes 2 RNs around the clock, 1 paramedic for 40 hours/week, 1 MD 24/7, 1 radiology tech, and 1 security guard
  • Patient ratio of 1:4
  • Uses GE monitors and Baxter pumps
  • Meditech EMR
  • Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Willingness to float between ED departments is preferred

Requirements

  • Active RN license (CO state or compact) required
  • Minimum 1 year of current acute care ED RN experience required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, ENPC, NIHSS, and PALS
  • TNCC certification required for ER
  • Must be able to work mid-shift/night shift
  • ER charge RN experience preferred
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
  • One professional reference required

Additional Information

  • Perform EKGs, IVs, and medication administration
  • Assist with conscious sedation and wound care
  • Ideal candidates are positive, flexible, and strong team players
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted
