Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level III trauma center in Farmington, NM, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and certifications including TNCC.

Details

  • Emergency Department in a 198-bed Level III trauma center serving the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah
  • The ED has 48 beds with flex space, accommodating a diverse patient population including ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, and psychiatric patients
  • Patient ratios are 4:1 in the main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track
  • Common diagnoses and treatments include ESRD, substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, COPD, CHF, abdominal pain, and chest pain
  • Required procedures and skills include trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis management, and moderate sedation
  • Equipment used includes Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, QinFlow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle and iStat POC, and ultrasound-guided IV
  • EMR is Cerner
  • Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Minimum of two weekends per schedule required
  • No on-call or float requirements
  • 13-week contract with 36 hours per week

Requirements

  • Active NM or Compact RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC — all must be from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Experience with trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation required
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required
