Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN requiring an active HI RN license, ACLS/BLS/PALS/TNCC certifications, and at least 2 years of emergency nursing experience.

Details

  • Work in the Emergency Room of a hospital and skilled nursing facility
  • Variable 8- or 12-hour shifts scheduled for 80 hours in a 2-week period
  • Shift assignment determined by manager upon arrival
  • One on-call shift required per roster
  • At least one weekend off guaranteed per roster
  • Floating to other units may be required based on nursing administration's determination and staff clinical ability
  • Uses Meditech EMR, LifePak defibrillators, Braun IV pumps, Philips monitoring systems, and Motorola radio systems

Requirements

  • Active HI RN license required by start of assignment
  • Minimum 2 years of emergency room nursing experience required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS
  • NRP certification preferred
  • NCI and Procedural Sedation certifications requested but not mandatory
  • Proficient IV skills required
  • Familiarity with Stroke, STEMI, and Trauma activations required
  • Understanding of core measures and National Patient Safety Goals required
  • Familiarity with AIDET and Press Ganey patient customer service standards required
  • Ability to multitask and work independently required

Additional Information

  • Must arrive at the facility the Friday prior to a Monday start to complete employee health and HR clearance, with no exceptions
  • All compliance documents must be completed and uploaded no later than one week before the start date
  • Candidates not currently holding an active HI RN license must apply for licensure upon acceptance of offer
