Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a KS or compact RN license and 2 years of ED experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Emergency Department setting
• 13-week contract assignment
• Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
• Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established hospital policies, procedures and protocols

Requirements

• Active RN license (KS or Compact) currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA)
• TNCC certification required, renewed every 4 years
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• CPI/MOAB High Risk training (online and on-site portions) required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Must demonstrate critical thinking skills and decisive judgment with ability to work under minimal supervision

Additional Information

• Implement and monitor patient care plans while recording and communicating patient condition
• Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
• Carry out physician and nursing orders
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• Work in a fast-paced, stressful environment requiring strong critical thinking abilities
