Emergency Department RN Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience
• Current Registered Nurse license eligible to practice in Texas
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Current ENPC or PALS certification
• Current CPI and TNCC certifications
• Strong clinical knowledge of neurological and cardiac emergencies
• Ability to remain calm, organized, and responsive in a high-energy, fast-paced emergency care environment

Emergency Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan and varying levels of acuity.
• Assess, triage, monitor, and reassess patients while coordinating timely emergency interventions.
• Care for patients experiencing STEMI, stroke, and other time-sensitive emergencies, including participation in TPA protocols.
• Assist with rapid sequence intubation and other emergency procedures within scope of practice.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, emergency technicians, and support staff to promote safe, efficient patient flow.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate changes in patient condition promptly.
• Deliver compassionate patient care while following emergency department policies, safety standards, and infection prevention practices.
