Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a cancer hospital, requiring at least 2 years of ED experience, 1 year of travel experience, and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Work in the Emergency Department's Onc Pod within a cancer hospital setting
- Night shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00-7:30
- Floating required
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Utilizes Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active RN license (Ohio or Compact) in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
- Minimum of 1 year of travel nursing experience required
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
- Epic EMR experience required
- Oncology experience preferred but not required
- Proficient in IV starts
- Experience with telemetry monitoring
- Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Two professional references required, with at least one from a Manager, Director, or Supervisor and the second from a Manager, Director, Supervisor, or Charge RN; co-worker references not accepted
Additional Information
- Provide emergency nursing care within a specialized oncology pod setting
- RTO must be submitted at time of application and built into the contract
- Up to 7 consecutive days off may be granted at facility discretion for a 14-week contract
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
- Former employees eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more
- Current employees of Ohio State University hospital locations are ineligible to be hired as a traveler
- Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing the contract due to strict compliance timelines
