Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,870–$1,970
• Location: Fort Myers, Florida
• Healthcare Setting: On-site, Level II trauma Emergency Department
• Unit: 22-bed Emergency Department
• Start Date: November 6, 2026
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks, ending February 6, 2027
• Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Openings: 2
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 3–4 patients per nurse
• Documentation System: Epic

Emergency Department RN Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN or Emergency Room RN experience in a similarly sized hospital or Emergency Department
• Current Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Florida
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
• TNCC and ENPC certifications preferred
• Prior travel nursing or travel Registered Nurse experience preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and provide safe nursing care in a high-acuity environment
• Willingness to float to other units or affiliated locations as needed
• Degree accreditation must be documented in the professional profile, or candidates must demonstrate at least 5 years of relevant experience

Emergency Nursing Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, timely, and compassionate nursing care to emergency patients with a broad range of medical and surgical conditions
• Assess patients, identify changes in condition, prioritize care, and implement evidence-based nursing interventions
• Manage complex and high-acuity cases in a Level II trauma Emergency Department
• Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and communicate updates to the interdisciplinary care team
• Provide accurate clinical documentation in Epic and support effective transitions of care
• Collaborate with physicians and other clinicians during emergent evaluations and procedures
• Maintain flexibility to float when needed, with travel nurses participating in floating assignments before core staff when applicable
• Promote a collaborative unit culture and contribute as an integral member of the emergency care team
