Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring an active KY or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Details

• Emergency Department providing 24-hour urgent care for patients with severe injuries or illness
• 1st shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7am-7pm
• Weekend and holiday coverage required as needed
• 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS, NIHSS, and Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required
• PALS, ENPC, and TNCC required within 6 months of hire
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous experience is preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document in accordance with scope of practice and hospital policies
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including patient and family education
• Coordinate care and individualized treatment planning across the interdisciplinary team
• Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members
