Join our team as an ER Registered Nurse in Muncie, IN, where you will provide exceptional care in a leading trauma center. This facility features 48 beds that can flex up to 62 beds total using hall beds if needed, ensuring that you will be part of a dynamic and responsive healthcare environment. We are dedicated to maintaining a safe and supportive workplace for our nursing staff.

As an ER RN, you will work a Day 3x12-Hour shift from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM, with a focus on delivering high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department. Your role will include managing a patient ratio of no more than 1:4 for regular ED patients, with hold assignments potentially including a ratio of 4:1 for progressive holds and 5:1 for medical holds. This ED averages 6.6 behavioral health patients per day, providing a diverse range of experiences.

Requirements:

• Must have an active IN RN license in hand to submit
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting
• ACLS, BCLS, and PALS certifications required; NIH and TNCC preferred
• Must have at least level 2 trauma experience
• Floating within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals is 100% required

Skillset Requirements:

• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Phlebotomy and starting IVs
• Continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors
• Procedural sedation administration
• CPAP/BiPAP management and care for ventilated patients
• Isolation precautions

Effective 11/30/2024, IN RNs will not be permitted to work at certain facilities, with exceptions for Periop/OR RNs, Allied, and Ambulatory RN travelers. Please note that these IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11/30 deadline.
