GLC On-The-Go is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Muncie, Indiana.
Join a leading acute-care hospital as an ER Registered Nurse in Muncie, IN, and take your career to the next level. This position is ideal for experienced RNs looking for a contract role in a dynamic Emergency Department (ED) setting.
The Emergency Department is a trauma center with 48 beds that can flex up to 62 beds total using hall beds if needed. The facility maintains a staffing ratio of no more than 1:4 for regular ED patients, with hold assignments potentially including a ratio of 4:1 for progressive holds and 5:1 for medical holds. The ED averages 6.6 behavioral health patients per day.
Shift Requirements: 3x12s MUST BE WILLING TO WORK CHARGE. This role is not open to local candidates; IN residents are not accepted.
Certification Requirements: ACLS, BCLS, PALS; preferred certifications include NIH and TNCC. Floating is 100% required of all travelers, and candidates will float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed.
Minimum Experience Required: 3 years in a similar role.
Skillset Requirements: Candidates must have at least level 2 trauma experience, including general emergency department skills such as combined adult/pediatric care, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, phlebotomy, starting IVs, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation administration, CPAP/BiPAP, care for ventilated patients, and isolation precautions.
