Position Overview
The RN is responsible for providing safe, effective, patient- and family-centered care while maintaining high standards of quality and patient satisfaction.
The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and reassessments.
- Develop, prioritize, and implement individualized plans of care.
- Monitor and document patient responses to clinical interventions.
- Recognize changes in patient condition and make appropriate clinical decisions.
- Provide patient and family education throughout the care process.
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams and available resources.
- Delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff.
- Mentor and precept other staff members as needed.
- Participate in quality, safety, and process-improvement initiatives.
- Promote teamwork and a positive patient-care environment.
- Follow evidence-based practices, regulatory standards, and hospital policies.
Requirements
- 2+ years of acute care RN experience
- Active RN license
- BLS required
- ACLS required
- PALS required
- NIHSS required
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the interdisciplinary care team
