Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of ER nursing experience required; 2 years of experience preferred in a high-acuity or trauma setting
• Experience working in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment
• Strong teamwork mindset with the ability to coach and receive feedback in real time
• Flexibility to work across all areas of the ED
• Required certifications prior to start: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS
• ENPC required within 90 days of hire
• Ability to work every other weekend and adapt to department scheduling needs
• Comfortable using electronic medical record systems; Cerner experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and efficient emergency nursing care to ED patients
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients based on acuity and clinical need
• Support care for a wide range of emergency cases in a high-volume hospital setting
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and unit clerks to ensure smooth patient flow
• Maintain clear communication with patients and families using a respectful, patient-first approach
• Update patient information and support an excellent patient experience throughout the visit
• Monitor patients closely and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Document care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record
• Participate in a supportive team culture focused on quality, safety, and positive outcomes
