Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring TNCC, ENPC, and NIHSS certifications with no call responsibilities.

Details

• Work in a 32+ bed Emergency Department at a hospital facility
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Uses Meditech EMR system
• 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Weekend shifts required (4 per schedule)
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, and NIHSS required by start date
• Minimum 1 year of recent ED experience required
• Candidates with more than 2 years of experience preferred
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Perform procedures including lumbar punctures, intubations, TNK administration, laceration repair, suture removal, and splinting
• Team environment values strong collaboration and anticipating patient and department needs
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs with optional navy blue zip-up sweater; pullover sweatshirts not permitted
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted
• First-time travelers may be considered
