Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for the Emergency Department requiring TNCC certification and 1 year of related nursing experience.

Details

• Emergency Care unit within a hospital setting
• 13-week assignment with full-time night shift schedule, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM

Requirements

• Active RN license in TX or compact
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA only) required
• Current TNCC certification required
• 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
• BSN preferred

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients and families
• Newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for the travel rate
• Previous CHRISTUS Health employees must be separated for at least 6 months system-wide prior to starting a travel assignment
