Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2.5+ years in a high-volume Level II trauma center and a CA RN license.

Details

• Level II Trauma Center Emergency Department serving combined adult/pediatric populations
• High-volume ER with over 90,000 annual patient visits
• STEMI and Stroke Certified facility
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (1900-0730)
• Weekend shifts required per department needs
• No on-call requirements
• Floating within the hospital based on census
• Uses EPIC charting system

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2.5 years of experience in a large Level II trauma center required
• High-volume ER experience (90K+ annual visits) required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS (CPI and TNCC preferred)
• EPIC charting experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, arterial line management, blood product administration, and central line care
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients
• Experience interpreting ABGs and administering IV vasopressors and continuous IV sedation
• Experience with cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience in triage and isolation precautions/PPE
• Ortho trauma experience required
• One professional reference required (within 2 years)
• Current Nursys report required (pulled within 2 weeks of consideration)

• First-time travelers accepted with required 2.5 years of experience
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Previous permanent staff are not eligible for consideration
• RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration and are subject to manager approval
• Holiday RTO is not guaranteed and will be reviewed closer to the holiday season
