Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse is a vital member of the patient care team, responsible for delivering both direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in the Emergency Department. This role demands expertise in assessing patients upon admission and throughout their stay, administering medications and therapies, providing patient education, and meticulously documenting nursing care actions, observations, and patient responses.

Shift Information

This position is for night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with at least 2 years in an emergency department setting.
• General certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS.
• Must be willing and able to accept charge nurse and preceptor roles when necessary.
• Must not have prior employment history at this organization.
• Travelers with any hits or actions on their license or background will not be accepted.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting assessments of patients during the admission process and throughout their care.
• Administering IV medications, therapies, and blood products as required.
• Providing comprehensive patient education and guidance.
• Documenting all care actions and patient responses accurately.

This position is available in a dynamic emergency care environment located in a regional center.
