Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Dept position requiring prior travel experience and the ability to float between two ED locations.

Details

• Night shift Emergency Dept position, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week with variable days
• Required to float between two standalone EDs and the Main Adult ED/Trauma Center, located 10 miles apart
• Holidays and weekends required
• Uses Epic EMR
• Academic medical center setting

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license
• 2-3 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• BLS, PALS (or ENPC), and ACLS certifications required
• TNCC certification preferred
• ED experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center preferred
• Must pass a basic specialty test and an EKG test including rhythm interpretation and identification of lethal rhythms upon starting

Additional Information

• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted
• Strong flexibility required due to floating between multiple ED locations
• Unplanned time off (UTO) may result in contract cancellation as shifts are not made up
• No block scheduling, though block scheduling may be considered at manager's discretion
• No permeable shoes allowed
• Influenza vaccination is mandatory with proof of compliance prior to clearance, with limited exemption allowances
• FL license applicants should note that ACHA processing may take up to 14 business days
• Traveler-friendly culture at a highly rated academic medical center
