Description

American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN for a night shift assignment requiring at least 2 years of ED experience and a ME or compact RN license.

Details

• Emergency Department setting with a full spectrum of emergency care services
• Includes a separate Chest Pain Center
• Night shift schedule, 7a-7p
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active ME or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 3 years of overall nursing experience required
• At least 2 years of experience in the ED setting required
• At least 1 year of critical care nursing experience required
• Must be willing and able to work charge nurse and preceptor roles if needed

Additional Information

• Responsible for direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process across all areas of the unit
• Duties include assessing patients on admission and throughout their stay, administering IV medications/therapy/blood, providing patient education, and documenting nursing care
• Must not be a previous employee of the facility
• Local candidates will be considered at a lower local rate
