Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a Level 2 trauma facility requiring 2+ years of ER experience and FL/compact RN license.

Details

• Level 2 trauma Emergency Department with 22 beds
• High acuity ED managing complex patient cases
• Patient ratios of 3-4:1
• 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
• EMR: Epic
• Floating required, with travelers prioritized to float first, including to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes of the primary facility

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required in similarly sized facilities and EDs
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
• TNCC and ENPC certifications preferred
• Nursing degree accreditation must be documented, or 5 years of experience required in lieu of accreditation
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Driver's license address must match address on file with the Board of Nursing

Additional Information

• Deliver emergency nursing care to a high acuity patient population with complex medical needs
• Travelers are integrated into the unit and expected to function as core staff
• Strong team culture with emphasis on flexibility and collaboration
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility, strictly enforced
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Orientation begins on a Friday, with in-person attendance required for badge and ID processing, followed by remote orientation
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted prior to starting the assignment, as RTO requests will not be approved after the start date
• Hard documentation deadline is the Monday prior to start date, with no exceptions for pending documents
• Candidates must provide complete demographic information (address, email, DOB, SSN, RN license number) for consideration
