Description

American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN for a 36-hour rotating schedule requiring 2+ years of ED nursing experience and an active MA RN license.

Details

  • 65-bed, pod-based Emergency Department with a separate pediatric pod and a separate Acute Mental Health area
  • All patient populations served with a daily census of approximately 230 visits
  • Clinician to patient ratio of 1:4
  • Uses Epic (ASAP module) EMR for charting
  • 36 hours per week on a Day/Evening/Night rotating schedule with every-other-weekend requirement
  • Day Rotate shifts include 7a-7p, 11a-11p, and 7p-7a when requested, with low rotation frequency
  • Night position does not rotate
  • Floating required
  • Free on-site parking available

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required (no conditional or pending licenses accepted)
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Nursing experience required
  • Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
  • TNCC and NRP certifications strongly preferred
  • Proficient in general ED nursing skills including assessment, documentation, IV insertion, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education
  • Flu vaccine required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

  • Provide direct nursing care across a high-volume, pod-based Emergency Department serving all patient populations, including pediatric and acute mental health cases
  • Local candidates are accepted; candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local and receive a reduced pay rate
