Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 36-hour rotating shift position requiring 2 years of ED nursing experience and an active MA RN license.

Details

• Work in a 65-bed, pod-based Emergency Department with a separate pediatric pod and a separate Acute Mental Health area
• Patient population includes all ages and acuities with a daily census of approximately 230 visits
• Clinician to patient ratio of 1:4
• Uses EPIC (ASAP module) for charting
• 36 hours per week on a Day Rotate and Every Other Weekend (EOW) schedule
• Day Rotate shifts include 7a-7p, 11a-11p, and 7p-7a with low rotation frequency; Night position does not rotate
• Floating required

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required (NURSYS and BON verification required, no conditional licenses accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Nursing experience required
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• NRP and TNCC certifications strongly preferred
• Proficient in general ED nursing skills including assessment, documentation, IV insertion, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point of care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
