**Exciting Opportunity for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department!** **Job Description:** Position Summary: Join our dynamic Emergency Department team as a Registered Nurse! You will be at the forefront of patient care, working with a diverse population ranging from pediatric to geriatric patients. Your expertise will help transform lives every day. **Essential Job Duties:** - Plan, implement, and evaluate all levels of patient care with a focus on safety and effectiveness for all ages. - Perform triage using the Emergency Severity Index (ESI) 5-level triage process. - Document all nursing care in a medically and legally acceptable manner, ensuring reflective records of patient responses. - Collaborate with healthcare providers, peers, and ancillary departments to ensure efficient and optimal care. - Coordinate and prioritize the care needs of multiple patients, enhancing patient flow and quality care delivery. - Advocate for patients' needs through clear and concise communication with healthcare teams. - Engage in your professional development by setting personal goals and completing required education and audits. - Assess patient and family knowledge concerning discharge needs and provide appropriate education. - Monitor life support and technical equipment, performing complex treatments including medication administration and emergency protocols. - Respond to crises with calm and efficient leadership, utilizing proper delegation skills. - Ensure compliance with legal requirements and patient rights during care delivery. - Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring all checklists are completed and rooms are stocked. - Participate in educational experiences for pre-hospital emergency providers and students. - Demonstrate proficiency in electronic documentation of patient care and related information. - Perform all other duties as assigned. **Required Qualifications:** - Two-year degree in nursing required; four-year degree preferred. - Active Wisconsin Registered Nursing license or active Compact Licensure. - Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required; ATCN preferred. - Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required. - Minimum 2+ years of relevant work experience. **Shift Information:** - 3 - 12 hour shifts: 7a-7p and 10a-10p. - Every 3rd weekend and rotational holidays. **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
