Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for medical, surgical, cardiac, neurologic, respiratory, orthopedic, and trauma emergencies. Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and emergency interventions according to physician orders and hospital protocols. Monitor patient conditions and respond quickly to changes in clinical status. Assist with emergency procedures including: Cardiac emergencies Stroke response Sepsis management Trauma stabilization Respiratory emergencies Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, radiology, laboratory, and ancillary staff. Document all patient care accurately in the electronic medical record. Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment, and discharge instructions. Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection prevention standards, and patient safety initiatives. Required Qualifications Active Pennsylvania RN License (or Compact License if applicable) Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience Current BLS (AHA) Current ACLS (AHA) Current PALS (AHA) NIH Stroke Scale Certification TNCC preferred CPI or de-escalation training preferred Preferred Experience Experience working in a community hospital ED Strong IV and critical assessment skills Experience caring for pediatric and adult emergency patients Previous travel nursing experience preferred but not required Skills Emergency assessment and triage Trauma stabilization Cardiac monitoring Dysrhythmia recognition IV insertion Medication administration Critical thinking Time management Team collaboration Excellent communication skills HonorVet Technologies Job ID 32973901.
