Prime Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Corvallis, Oregon.

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to provide care to patients with a wide range of medical needs, from non-critical and urgent conditions to life-threatening emergencies. The ED cares for both adult and pediatric patients and provides emergency and urgent mental health/behavioral health care.
The Emergency Department receives patients arriving both by walk-in and emergency medical transport. Nurses are expected to provide safe, efficient care to patients across a broad range of acuities, including critical cardiac and trauma cases.
Responsibilities
- Perform rapid nursing assessments and prioritize patients based on acuity.
- Provide emergency care to adult and pediatric patients.
- Care for patients with medical, cardiac and traumatic emergencies.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms and changes in patient condition.
- Establish IV access and administer medications and treatments.
- Assist with emergency procedures and resuscitation efforts.
- Participate in Code Blue and other emergency response situations.
- Provide care for patients experiencing urgent mental health or behavioral health conditions.
- Assist physicians and other clinicians with procedures.
- Collect blood and other laboratory specimens as required.
- Prepare patients for diagnostic testing, admission, transfer or discharge.
- Provide patient and family education.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and documentation.
- Follow hospital, infection-control and patient-safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Oregon RN license required at time of submission.
- Healthcare Provider Level BLS required.
- ACLS required.
- TNCC required.
- PALS required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required for CAP moderate-complexity testing requirements.
Preferred Experience
Experience in a high-acuity Emergency Department is preferred, particularly experience with:
- Trauma patients
- Critical cardiac patients
- Pediatric emergencies
- Emergency resuscitation
- Behavioral/mental health emergencies
- Rapid triage and assessment
High-acuity ED RN role, and the key compliance items are Oregon RN + BLS + ACLS + TNCC + PALS. The high-school-diploma verification is an additional CAP/testing requirement.
