Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring EPIC experience and night shift availability.

Details

  • Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital
  • Care for patients across the lifespan including neonatal, infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
  • Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts
  • 36 or 48 hours per week

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification required at time of hire
  • PALS certification required at time of hire
  • TNCC certification required within 1 year of hire
  • Demonstrated competency in IV Sedation required within 6 months of hire
  • Demonstrated competency in Dysrhythmia required during orientation
  • Minimum 3 years of recent ER experience required, within the last 3 months
  • EPIC EMR experience required
  • BSN preferred
  • Acute care facility experience preferred
  • MICN and CEN certifications preferred

Additional Information

  • Assume responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated shift
  • Prescribe and coordinate nursing care consistent with the medical plan of care in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare team members
  • Incorporate patient teaching and discharge planning into the overall plan of care
  • Delegate aspects of patient care to other nursing staff based on clinical competence and scope of practice
  • Position is represented by CNA (California Nurses Association)
  • Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered
  • Candidates with any prior negative licensure action will not be considered
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates with no radius restriction
