Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Urbana, IL, requiring Epic EMR proficiency and a minimum of one year of ED nursing experience.
Details
- Work setting is a hospital Emergency Department
- Day shift schedule: 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- All travelers are required to complete a 2-week nights rotation
- 2 on-call shifts per 6-week scheduling period; call shifts are 13 hours in length
- Block scheduling is not available for this position
- Every other weekend shift required
- Holiday shifts on a rotation basis
- Epic EMR experience required
- Trauma Level 2 or higher experience preferred
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing required; temporary license accepted
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- TNCC highly preferred
- Minimum one (1) year of relevant ED nursing experience required
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- RTO is not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not remain on assignment continuously for more than 1 year at this health system; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within the system if not converting to permanent employment
- Performs comprehensive patient assessments, develops and continuously modifies individualized care plans in collaboration with providers, patients, and families
- Responsible for patient and staff safety through appropriate nursing interventions and adherence to safety standards
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation to support the care team
- Collaborates and communicates effectively with staff, patients, visitors, and families to promote a positive care environment
