Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring an active IL RN license and EPIC charting experience.

Details

  • Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule from 1:00PM-1:00AM
  • 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holiday coverage on a rotation basis
  • Requires 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule period, with expectation to be onsite within an hour of call
  • 2-week nights rotation required of all travelers
  • No block scheduling available
  • Uses EPIC EMR system

Requirements

  • Active Illinois RN license in good standing
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)
  • Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience
  • ASN required, BSN preferred
  • EPIC charting experience required
  • Trauma Level 2 or higher experience preferred
  • TNCC certification highly preferred

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care in a high-risk Emergency Department setting
  • Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with providers, patients, and families
  • Implement and modify nursing interventions based on continuous patient evaluation
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to promote a safe and healing environment
  • Report and correct safety hazards to ensure patient and staff safety
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
  • RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
