Mandatory Qualifications for this Job
- Active Montana Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Current AHA BLS Certification
- Current AHA ACLS Certification
- Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
- Current AHA PALS or ENPC Certification
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ER) or Critical Care RN experience
- Ability to provide safe and effective emergency nursing care
Preferred Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assess, triage, and provide emergency care to patients with acute conditions and injuries
- Develop individualized care plans and implement nursing interventions
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency therapies safely
- Monitor patient status and respond to clinical changes promptly
- Provide stroke and trauma care following established protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in EMR
- Follow infection control, safety standards, and hospital policies
- Participate in quality improvement and continuing education programs
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and professional nursing standards
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and critical care needs
