Mandatory Qualifications for this Job

  • Active Montana Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Current AHA BLS Certification
  • Current AHA ACLS Certification
  • Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
  • Current AHA PALS or ENPC Certification
  • Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ER) or Critical Care RN experience
  • Ability to provide safe and effective emergency nursing care

Preferred Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assess, triage, and provide emergency care to patients with acute conditions and injuries
  • Develop individualized care plans and implement nursing interventions
  • Administer medications, treatments, and emergency therapies safely
  • Monitor patient status and respond to clinical changes promptly
  • Provide stroke and trauma care following established protocols
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
  • Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in EMR
  • Follow infection control, safety standards, and hospital policies
  • Participate in quality improvement and continuing education programs
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and professional nursing standards
  • Respond effectively to emergency situations and critical care needs
