Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Montana
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Room nursing or critical care experience
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• American Heart Association PALS or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course certification
• Ability to practice modified primary nursing
• Strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and the ability to thrive in a busy, high-acuity emergency department
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, lifting, and responding quickly to patient needs

Responsibilities

• Assess patient and family needs and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
• Plan and implement individualized emergency nursing care based on clinical findings
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, patients, and families to support safe, effective care
• Provide patient and family education throughout the care process
• Deliver high-quality emergency and medical-surgical nursing care with attention to safety and compassion
• Support stroke care protocols and maintain required stroke education and trauma-related competencies
• Practice with strong communication, confidentiality, and teamwork in a dynamic emergency care environment
• Complete required education and maintain compliance with applicable policies and standards
