Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level I Trauma Center requiring telemetry skills and MA RN licensure.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a Level I Trauma Center
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00
• Shift start time may flex up to four hours earlier or later only for urgent critical staffing needs
• Epic experience preferred
• Union facility requiring availability to work all 7 days with no special scheduling accommodations
• Patient population includes behavioral health and psychiatric ED cases

Requirements

• Active MA RN license in hand required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required; NIHSS and TNCC preferred
• Minimum 18 months of experience required, 2+ years preferred
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Must be able to read telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias
• Skilled in respiratory care, ventilated patient care, cardiac monitoring, and emergency response to dysrhythmias
• Triage experience required

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care including triage, cardiac monitoring, and management of dysrhythmias
• Must pass a telemetry exam and a medication exam during orientation, each with only one attempt allowed; failure results in immediate contract cancellation
• Study materials provided throughout the compliance process and facility-directed interviews to help prepare for required exams
• One major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year) may be included in requested time off
• Up to 14 days of RTO can be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed during the first week of the assignment
• Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius at the standard bill rate
• Candidates must have a 12-month separation from the health system if previously employed there
