Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Dept position at a Level I Trauma Center requiring MA licensure and prior trauma experience.

Details

• Level I Trauma Center Emergency Department setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:00
• Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days
• Rare shift flexing (up to 4 hours before/after posted start time) only for urgent staffing needs
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Skills needed include respiratory care, ventilated patient care, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and triage
• Additional experience with Psych/Behavioral Health ED patients

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required in hand prior to start
• Minimum of 1.5 years (18 months) of ED experience required; 2+ years preferred
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Preferred certifications: NIHSS, TNCC
• Must be able to read telemetry
• Must pass a telemetry exam and a medication exam during orientation with one attempt allowed for each

Additional Information

• Care for patients in a high-acuity Level I Trauma Center emergency department
• Multiple study materials provided during compliance process and facility-directed interviews to help prepare for required exams
• Must maintain 12-month separation from the health system for returning staff
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate within a 75-mile radius
• Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review; no RTO allowed during the first week of assignment
• Modules must be completed pre-start, during orientation, and annually as required by the facility
