Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring at least one year of acute/critical care experience and ACLS certification.

Details

• Emergency Services department in an acute care hospital setting
• 13-week travel assignment on night shift, 19:00-07:30
• No on-call requirements
• Requires floating between ICU and Telemetry units

Requirements

• Active and valid IL RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum of one year of experience as a staff RN in acute care/critical care
• CCRN certification preferred
• Skilled in cardiac strip interpretation and titration of drips
• COVID vaccination/boosters preferred

Additional Information

• Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Provide patient and family education and guide other nursing personnel while maintaining unit standards of care
• Communicate with physicians regarding changes in patient condition, hemodynamic monitoring, and diagnostic results
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
