Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 3+ years of ER experience and a current DC RN license.

Details

• Fast-paced ED setting treating all patient types, from urgent care to psych, pediatric, and critical care/trauma cases
• Manage complex critical care skills including medication titrations, arterial lines, mass transfusion of blood, and chest tubes
• Work as bedside trauma RN in the trauma room with 1:5 patient ratios
• 3x12-hour day shifts
• Cerner EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active DC RN license (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current certifications required: NIHSS, TNCC, BLS, PALS, and ACLS (AHA only)
• Minimum 3 years of ER experience required
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
• BSN highly desired
• Minimum 2 years of prior work experience in a US hospital in the ED specialty

Additional Information

• Coordinate and deliver care to patients with complex nursing needs to ensure safety, quality, and a positive patient experience
• Must be available to start within 7 days of offer with no pushed start dates allowed
• Expedited onboarding available for candidates who can provide required compliance documents, including national background screen, flu and COVID vaccination or declination form, license verification, and current certifications
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Two manager or supervisor references required, verifying recent experience within the last 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
