Shift: 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM
Assignment Type: Travel
Local Candidates: Accepted — local rate applies to candidates residing less than 75 miles from the facility

Submission Requirements

• Must meet the applicable 75-mile travel requirement for travel assignment consideration

• Local candidates may be accepted at a local rate if residing less than 75 miles from the facility

• Updated resume demonstrating:

  • 2+ years of Emergency Department (ED) experience

  • Pediatric (PEDS) experience

  • Clearly documented travel nursing experience

• Travel nursing experience is required

• Skills checklist matching the ED specialty

• Driver’s license with address matching candidate demographics

• Current AHA certifications required:

  • ACLS

  • BLS

  • PALS

  • NIHSS

  • TNCC — Required

• Nursys report/license verification required

• Active New York RN license required

• RTO (Requested Time Off) must be included at the time of submission

• EPIC EMR experience required

Patient Population

The Emergency Department provides care to:

• Newborns

• Pediatrics

• Adults

• Geriatric patients

ED nurses are expected to provide care to all assigned patients, including SANE cases.

Common Patient Diagnoses

Experience with the following patient populations/conditions is required or strongly preferred:

• Stroke

• Sepsis

• Trauma

• Myocardial Infarction (MI)

• Cardiac Arrest

• Respiratory Failure

Specialty Equipment

• Rapid Infusor

• Arctic Sun

Required Drips & Medications

Pressors:

• Levophed

• Neo

• Epinephrine

• Vasopressin

• Dobutamine

• Dopamine

Vasodilators:

• Cleviprex

• Cardene

• Nitroglycerin (NTG)

Anti-Arrhythmics:

• Cardizem

• Amiodarone

• Lidocaine (Lido)

Sedation:

• Precedex

• Propofol

• Fentanyl

Other Required Medication Experience:

• TNK

• Heparin

• Insulin
