Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a CA RN license and at least 3 years of ER experience.

Details

  • Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital
  • Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts on a 36/48 rotation from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification required
  • PALS certification required
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) certification required
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
  • BSN preferred
  • Acute care facility experience preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of ER experience required
  • Recent experience within the specialty required within the last 3 months
  • Cerner and/or Epic EMR experience must be noted in employment history

Additional Information

  • Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned patients following established standards of care and the nursing process
  • Supervise and direct various levels of assigned nursing staff while coordinating care across disciplines
  • Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnosis and care needs
  • Develop and implement care plans, coordinate care delivery, and promote a safe healing environment
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver safe and humane care
  • Provide health education to patients, families, and treatment team members
  • Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
  • Appropriately delegate and coordinate duties among healthcare team members
  • Required vaccinations are a condition of employment
  • Accepts local candidates with no radius rule and local rates matching travel rates
