Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level 1 Trauma Center requiring PA or compact RN license and ACLS/PALS certification.

Details

• Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department setting
• Treats all patient populations
• 40-bed unit with 1:6 patient ratios, up to 1:7 depending on ED holds
• Night shift, 7p-7a
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• No floating required
• Uses EPIC EHR

Requirements

• Active RN license (PA or Compact) required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; CEN preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required
• Trauma and critical care experience preferred
• Basic nursing skills required
• PA Child Abuse History Clearance and fingerprinting (Department of Human Services and FBI/Department of Aging) required prior to start
• PATCH (PA State Police) Clearance required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care across a wide range of patient populations and acuities in a high-volume Level 1 Trauma Center
• Team player personality valued within a collaborative ED team
• Scrubs of any color accepted
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Must be 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel rate; otherwise local rate applies
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
